Founded 1966
HM King Harald V of Norway – Honorary Member
The Norwegian Scottish Association aims to promote and consolidate friendship and understanding between Norwegians and people with Norwegian connections or interests living in Scotland, and to further cultural and other relations between Scotland and Norway. The Association is non-political.
We promote activites through 9 months of the year, usually meeting on the 1st Tuesday of the month from September to May. Our events programme includes illustrated talks and arts events, special celebrations such as our juletrefest and syttende mai dinner, and occasional outings to places of interest. Our meetings are friendly and informal and our members come from all walks of life.
Our Association is an affiliate member of COSCAN – The Confederation of Scandinavian Societies of Great Britian and Ireland.
